Job Title: Account Executive
Department: Wholesale
Employee Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: Divisional Sales Manager

Summary: 
           
The Account Executive is responsible for all aspects of running their business as an entrepreneur.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Leadership: 

  • Lead by example, be out in front of counter, using Magic Formula
  • Teach, coach, motivate and develop Benefit employees as well as Host Store employees (while adhering to Host Store guidelines)
  • Contribute to the growth, learning and success of others
  • Consistently review performance of team members
  • Keep commitments and build high expectations in self and others
  • Always be approachable and an effective two way communicator
  • Express ideas and information clearly and effectively
  • Persuade others through influence and collaboration as opposed to command and control

Drive Sales: 

  • Develop a business strategy for sales and a plan to execute
  • Monitor and review all Counter schedules to ensure needs of business are being met; including traffic flow and promotional programs
  • Effectively lead teams to execute planned events and weekend parties
  • Communicate all stock concerns to manager to ensure appropriate stock levels
  • Lead teams to ensure that all corporate initiatives are executed and met

Talent: 

  • Hire, orient, develop and retain people at all levels; Beauty Artist(s), Counter Manager(s), Sales Coordinator(s),and Retail Managers(s)
  • Ensure that all counters are appropriately staffed with the right people in a timely manner and with the support, when necessary, of the Host Store
  • Follow all company and Host Store policies and procedures

Training: 

  • Build a trained and knowledgeable team through on and off site training
  • Ensure the Benefit motto (To Sit Down Customers Can Create Serious Activity) is actively being used for all training purposes
  • Maintain the consistency and standards of the 8 Step Magic Selling Formula
  • Inspire and train employees by setting the example of excellent service and sales and through team selling
  • Coach team(s) on executing and maintaining the 8 steps to a successful day

Communication and Relationships with Outside Customers:

  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with the following Department Store employees:
    • Regional Merchandise Manager(s)
    • Store Managers

Results:

  • Sets productivity goals and measures individuals and team success according to the goal(s)
  • Assess and adjust goal(s) as team changes, grows & develops
  • Achieve daily/ monthly/ yearly sales goals
  • Achieve monthly/ yearly/ expense target

Additional Responsibilities: 

  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • 3-4 years Retail experience
  • Minimum 2 years management experience
  • Cosmetics experience preferred
  • Proven sales and service track record
  • Ability to analyze and manage a budget
  • Proficient at reading and analyzing numbers
  • Interpersonal skills in customer service
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Flexibility regarding work hours
