Job Title: Public Relations/Marketing Intern Department: PR/Consumer Marketing Location: San Francisco, CA Employee Status: Part-time (Unpaid - for school credit)

Summary:

Benefit Cosmetics is looking for a dazzling Public Relations/Marketing Intern who is motivated to obtain real world experience and exposure within a leading global beauty brand. The PR/Marketing intern will dually support both the PR and Marketing departments in their day-to-day tasks.

As a general overview, the PR department creates publicity and brand recognition in the realms of celebrities, makeup artists, magazines, television, online and other media. The Consumer Marketing department communicates the brand experience through new product launches, drives special programs, partnerships and promotions, and facilitates brand exposure to the customer.

The PR/Marketing Intern will be introduced to the inner-workings of the beauty industry and must be prepared to work responsibly in a fast paced environment. In addition to job functions, the PR/Marketing Intern will work under the guidance of both teams on an ongoing project that will culminate in a written assignment and presentation.

Essential duties and requirements:

• Special project support
• Event support
• Collating & sending new product introduction kits
• Compiling & organizing beauty research 
• PR mailings to beauty editors, celebrities, makeup artists, etc.
• Managing details
• Administrative duties

Qualifications:

• Sees projects to their completion
• Able to meet deadlines
• Organized with the ability to multi-task
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Powerpoint, Word
• Mac experience a plus
• Must be enthusiastic, motivated, responsible & have a sense of humor
• Must receive college credit since this an unpaid internship
